Terese Holt

Terry L. Holt AKA Terese Holt is a photographer, graphic designer, and website administrator working as a contractor in the arts & cultural sector. Terry was born on Massachusetts’ North Shore, but she’s spent years in Florida, North Carolina, and Rhode Island. She found her way to South Amherst early in 2022, where she lives with her wife and 3 children. Her background in communications and marketing includes years in the travel and tourism industry, magazine publishing, and writing/editing.

Although she considers herself a lifelong student, on the books Terry received her education at the University of Florida School of Journalism & Communications, and completed post-baccaulaureate work toward her M.A. in English & Language Studies at the University of West Florida, though she never did finish that thesis!

Terry enjoys working on her maker skills in woodworking and leather, and she can be found on weekends hanging out with fellow makers in places like LaunchSpace in Orange, or hiking with her family and dog — and the ever-present camera, of course. As a member of the Amherst Public Art Commission, she looks forward to actively engaging with the makers and artists in Pioneer Valley, and getting to know the people and history of the town of Amherst.

Terry dreams of strategic partnerships with Amherst stakeholders in arts and business to beautify the streets and parks in town, activate more public spaces with music and dance, and help grow Amherst’s brand as a culturally rich and vibrant destination.
